A significant part of co-operation of the Faculty with scientific and research units is now realized through the participation in Operation Programs (7 programs POIG and POKL and 4 investment programs). The Faculty co-operates with other units, realizing orders from industry (mines), research institutes and Polish Academy of Sciences, hospitals, high schools, other AGH UST Faculties, companies, foundations and individual subjects. Within the framework of research projects with MENiS and NCBiR, teams of specialists from academic staff and workers of small or medium size companies are formed.
The Faculty closely co-operates with, e.g.: ABB, ENION, COMARCH, MOTOROLA, DELPHI, SOLIDEX, GE POWER CONTROLS, APRISO, ABG, KOMEL, ENERGOPROJEKT Kraków.
Another example of broad co-operation of the Faculty is establishing the Małopolska-Podkarpacie Clean Energy Cluster at AGH UST. It is targeted at building a platform of co-operation of companies, self-government, high schools and business institutions oriented to the production of clean energy.
Moreover, the Smart Grid technological platform for power engineering is being developed and perfected.
