TECHNICAL INFORMATICS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS
In an scientific discipline that achieves a category of at least B+, an scientific discipline council is formed. In the event of loss of such a category, the council of an scientific discipline shall be dissolved, and uncompleted degree-granting proceedings shall be transferred by the University to other entities in accordance with the procedure set forth in the Law on Higher Education.
Members of the scientific discipline councils are appointed and dismissed by the Rector.
The scientific discipline council consists of:
- Professors and professors of the University employed at the University as their primary place of employment who have made a statement of the discipline they represent, constituting not less than 80% of the composition;
- Academic staff employed at the University as their primary place of employment in positions other than those specified in the 1, who have submitted a statement of the discipline they represent, making up no more than 20% of the composition.
- Doctoral students represent the discipline with at least one doctoral student on each discipline council.
The chairman of the scientific discipline council and his deputy or deputies are appointed and dismissed by the Rector.
The council of an scientific discipline may establish committees for conducting doctoral proceedings, except that the doctoral degree is conferred by the competent council of the academic discipline.
The Council of Scientific Disciplines appoints committees to conduct habilitation proceedings.
