Research Potential
The research potential of the EAIiIB Faculty consists of scientific staff and research infrastructure. The position of the Faculty is determined by the active activity of its employees in national and international projects, significant publication output, and a large number of citations, as well as participation in scientific associations and international organizations, the work of scientific committees of recognized conferences, and awarding honors and prizes. Employees of the EAIiIB Faculty have held and continue to hold numerous prestigious positions in scientific and social organizations, as well as at the levels of university and state administration. Scientific activity is documented in numerous publications, and research staff, doctoral students, and students of the EAIiIB Faculty have achieved numerous scientific successes, both nationally and internationally.
Scientific Staff
The scientific staff of the EAIiIB Faculty consists of 52 independent researchers, 83 assistant professors and 57 assistants, and 26 lecturers (December 2018). An important group supporting scientific activities is composed of doctoral students. Doctoral students participate in scientific research, take an active part in scientific research projects, apply for grants, and become beneficiaries of prestigious structural projects such as DOCTUS. At the Faculty of EAIiIB, doctoral students are educated in five different disciplines. Currently, there are 90 doctoral students in Doctoral Studies, including 14 doctoral students pursuing implementation doctorates. The scientific staff of the EAIiIB Faculty is active in many professional societies such as IEEE, IFIP, ACM, SEP, PSSI and national and international scientific organizations. Organizes international and national conferences and scientific workshops. Selected scientists are invited to deliver plenary papers at national and international conferences, participate in the Scientific Committees of recognized international conferences organized under the auspices of organizations such as IEEE, ACM, among others, and participate in the editing of reputable scientific journals. The team of independent professors and researchers contributes as consultants to committees and opinion-making bodies and as consultants to IT companies.
